About Our Coaches
Tony Tucker
Head Coach
Tony has been skating since the 1950’s back when wheels were made of wood! Tony has produced several National Champions -including Kerry (pictured) four-time Classic Champion- and International and World-class competitors during his coaching career. Tony is qualified to coach Basic Skills, Solo Dance and Couples to Gold standard as well as figures.
Jeremy Reynolds
Coach
Jed is one half of husband-and-wife team, Jeremy-and-Lorna; founders of Moonrakers. Jeremy has been skating since his teenage years, much of that with his now-wife Lorna. Jeremy has coached many elite skaters including his two daughters who have represented GB. Jeremy coaches Basic Skills, Dance to Bronze standard and Free.
Lorna Reynolds
Coach
Lorna is the other “founding partner” of Moonrakers, and has been skating for over 20 years, predominantly as a couple with husband Jeremy. Lorna is an active skater at Masters level where she regularly achieves podium finishes. Lorna is qualified to coach Basic Skills and Dance to Bronze level. She is also our master choreographer.
Chantal Reynolds
Junior Coach
Our Junior Coach, Chantal, is a Silver standard skater and British Championship medal winner, who now brings her experience to our coaching team. She is proving to be an excellent coach, and is much adored by the younger skaters!
Tia Shortall
Junior Dance Coach
Tia has been skating for over 20 years and is still an active skater in the Adults category. She is qualified to teach Basic Skills and dance to Preliminary level. Tia takes the lead on Club Fun Sessions and recruiting new & developing skaters to first-year competitive skating.
Chris Shortall
Grades Coach
Chris is accredited by the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating to teach Basic Skills (Grades 1-6). At our Open Session he helps new skaters progress through the FARS Grades. He is also an official FARS Calculator – assisting the marking process at competitions.
All of our Coaches are Federation of Artistic Roller Skating-accredited, have Disclosure & Barring Service clearance and are first aid trained.
